Address Autocomplete

Address Autocomplete for Website Forms

Customers type a few letters of their street, pick their address from the list, and the city, state, and ZIP code fill in on their own. You get fewer typos and fewer packages sent to the wrong place.

Try It

Live

Real US addresses from 52 states. Pick one and watch it fill in the rest.

This is the same dropdown your customers get from one script tag.

What You Get

  • Real Addresses

Suggestions come from address lists that states, counties, and cities publish as open data. OpenAddresses gathers them, and we credit every source.

  • Fills In the Rest

Pick a suggestion and the city, state, ZIP code, and country fields fill in, so a customer types one line instead of five.

  • One Script Tag

Paste a short snippet into your page and point it at your address field. There's no API key to create or keep secret.

  • Matches Your Site

The dropdown takes on much of your form's look by itself, and you can restyle the rest with your own CSS.

  • Only on Your Websites

Each website gets its own site ID, and suggestions only load on the websites you've added.

  • Keyboard Friendly

People can arrow through suggestions and press Enter to pick one without touching the mouse.

How It Works

  1. Step 1: Add your website in the dashboard to get a site ID.

  2. Step 2: Paste the snippet into your page.

  3. Step 3: Point it at your address field.

  4. Step 4: Customers start typing and pick their address.

Common Questions

Which countries does it cover?

Just the United States for now. If most of your customers are somewhere else, this isn't the right tool yet.

Do I need an API key?

No. You add your website in the dashboard and put its site ID in the snippet. Suggestions only work on websites you've added.

Where do the addresses come from?

From open data that states, counties, and cities publish, collected by OpenAddresses. Our Data Sources page credits every source.
